The sacking of Lawan Daura, Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo was done with the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari, the decision to sack Daura was taken at about 4am on Tuesday, and Osinbajo secured Buhari’s approval before making the decision public. A combined team of the Nigerian Police and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) have arrested Lawal Daura, the sacked Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), for “breaching national security”.
It was gathered that Daura was arrested immediately he was sacked by the Acting President Yemi Osinabjo .
According to report, news of the arrest sparked wild jubilations at the DSS headquarters.
The sacked DSS DG is currently being detained at the SARS headquarters.
